My name is Candyce and I am a surface pattern designer and artist based in the UK. I live on the edge of The South Downs in Hampshire in the UK with my husband, three amazing boys and a bonkers dog! When I am not creating art or running my design business I love to snuggle up with a book (historical novels based in Anglo Saxon England are my current favourite) or go out walking with my husband and the dog in the local countryside.
I find inspiration for my art almost everywhere and drive my husband crazy stopping randomly to look at something that has caught my eye or taking pictures of random objects because I like the colour or pattern on it! My pattern collections are curated from the heart and are inspired by childhood memories growing up on a farm, family life in the heart of the countryside and from the abundance of nature that we are surrounded with.
I passionately believe everyone has the innate ability to be creative and it is a privilege to be able to use that ability every day at work. Although my job as a surface pattern designer does not feel like work as I try to create with a playful, curious and experimental attitude. This is often where the most surprising and unexpectedly delightful creations come from!
I completed the Surface Design Immersion Course with Bonnie Christine in 2026 and I am a certified designer for 2026/2027.
