I was lucky enough to grow up in the countryside on an arable farm where harvest was part of family life. This collection is an ode to the long warm summer's days when my dad would work long hours to get the harvest in. And a reminder of the way that there was no control over the weather and how a heavy downpour could halt work in an instant. This collection was also inspired by the nostalgic prints of my nan's pinafore aprons, something she always wore for cooking, baking and housework - she was also known to inadvertently wear it to the supermarket on occasions!
