Candyce Prevett - A Victorious Yield

Inspired by my childhood, A Victorious Yield is a tribute to my dad and the fond memories of him growing vegetables in our garden. Being excited at the prospect of ‘helping’ and filled with delight as fresh carrots were pulled and eaten straight from the ground. My dad, always in a button down shirt, shooing away the butterflies from his carefully tended crops and sitting on the front door step shucking peas into a colander. Not forgetting the sweet smell of ripening tomatoes in the greenhouse mingled with tobacco smoke as my dad patiently worked to provide food for his family.
